RESUME
about me
My creative and scholarly research explores the intersections of dance practice and pedagogy, cultural identity, and community engagement, with a particular emphasis on Diasporic dance forms and contemporary practices. I approach Dance as a powerful language capable of molding our perceptions of both ourselves and the world we inhabit when the embodied knowledge serves as a critical tool for empowerment, resilience, and conscious citizenship. My work investigates how dance as a practice impacts beyond the classroom by exploring relatable themes in my creations, researching for inclusive and impactful teaching processes, and cultivating a space for community through dance.
